Big Cottonwood Canyon with Mazda

It has been the warmest winter I’ve experienced since moving to Utah. I’d like to say I’m not complaining about it…but global warming. It finally snowed last weekend, and even though I’m not a fan of snow, I was excited because it was Bastian’s first snow! And there’s just something about the first snow of the year that makes you want to curl up with hot chocolate. That’s super cliche, I know. I digress.

One of my favorite things about snow in Utah, though, is how pretty it makes the mountains and canyons. Mazda sent us their 2017 Mazda 6 Grand Touring to drive for a little while, and since it had snow tires, we knew we needed to head up to see the canyons draped in snow.

And it did NOT disappoint.

We were able to get up there before the sun went down. Which is honestly a miracle, considering how Seth’s and my schedules clash 90% of the time. As we left the canyon, we were able to watch the sunset, and it was nothing short of STUNNING. I’ll spare you the iphone pictures of it, but I trust you all know what a beautiful sunset looks like.

We had a lot of fun driving this Mazda(especially Seth). When I got into it and started driving, my jaw honestly dropped. The seats are a creamy leather, the interior is so much more spacious than you’d think, and it drives like a dream. Not to be dramatic, but I felt like I was driving a sports car. Just a little bit. This is also coming from someone who has never actually driven a sports car. So you can take that with a grain of salt I guess, haha.

It was also rated one of the safest cars of 2017, which, as a mom, is a big deal. Mostly, I just felt like a local celebrity driving it. Like, you know Cara Loren would be driving a car like that.

Now that Seth and I have fallen in love with it…what are the chances you think he’ll get me one for Christmas?
