My Favorite Spring Wardrobe Staples

My favorite season, hands down, is fall. Something about the crisp air and the flavored coffee just pulls me in. My second favorite season? Spring. I guess you could say that I’m a fan of seasons that aren’t…extreme. I’m not a fan of intense heat or intense cold. We’ve had a mild winter here in Utah and I’ve been stuck between joy that it’s warm…and sadness, because global warming. Dressing for spring is a lot of fun, though. It’s fun to start wearing florals and brighter colors, and it’s definitely the season of less layers. Here are a few favorites in my spring wardrobe.

Two days ago, I launched Juniper Oak, my clothing store! It’s been such a labor of love, because I wanted to create a unique spring line. I wanted clothes that were different than the rest of the Utah clothing stores. And way less expensive, because let’s be honest, I’m not going to spend $40 on joggers or $70 on a cotton dress. I just won’t, and so I wanted to provide a stylish but cute option while not costing an entire paycheck to buy new clothes.

I’ll get off my soapbox(spending a lot on clothes is something I am PASSIONATELY against).

Let’s talk pastels. The beessstttt colors to wear for spring, are pastels. Light blues and pinks and greens are making me swoon this season. This bell sleeved top was actually a late addition, it arrived just a few days before we opened. It was an instant hit and it’s almost sold out(this is your cue to go buy one before your size is sold out!). Pair it with a pair of jeans or a high waisted skirt!

I swear I only have two bell sleeved items in the shop, but this just so happens to be the other one. I fell in love with the embroidered details on this blush pink dress and it’s a light enough material that you’ll be able to wear it comfortably into summer.

This green cold shoulder top is another one of my favorites, and another item you’ll be able to implement into your summer wardrobe as well! Versatile and multi-season items are the best kinds to stock your closet with, right?

Let’s take a second to talk about these overalls, by far the most popular item in the Juniper Oak spring collection so far. You could straight up do squats in these bad boys, and the straps are adjustable so you can customize the crop and will fit you no matter your height. And not to toot my own “inexpensive clothing!!” horn, but there’s another clothing store here in Utah that I know of that is selling these same overalls...for $20 more. So…run and grab yourself a pair(did I mention, pockets????).  The red shirt is also up on the site too, look for the “Anastasia“.
