Holiday Gift Guide for Babies

It’s Bastian’s first Christmas. You best believe that I got reeeaaaally excited and started Christmas shopping a few months ago. I couldn’t help myself. And let’s be real for a minute. When you buy a gift for a baby, you’re really buying a gift for their mom, too. So it’s a win-win. I know that most of the stuff I’ve order for Bastian is also a gift for me, and I’m fine with that. Here’s a little holiday gift guide to inspire your Christmas shopping.

Toys –

I feel like I’m kinda picky about what toys I get for Bastian. I prefer to select toys from small companies, so I know where they’re from and how they were made. I did a little bit of looking around, and found some fun, ethically made toys that are the perfect Christmas gifts, and I just had to include them in this gift guide.

Dough Re Mi is a cute company that hand makes play dough. The age range for playdough is 3+ years, so this is the perfect gift for my nieces. But Bastian was a big fan of playing with the containers.

I found the cutest teether toys from Hatchling Co. My favorite is the silicone and wooden rattle ring, but the teether pacifier clip is a close second. You can use code AURORA10 to snag yourself a few toys to stuff your babes stockings with next month.

Cuddle and Kind makes the absolute cutest handknit dolls. Bastian is getting the Sebastian doll for Christmas. One of my favorite things about this company is that for every single doll you purchase, 10 meals get donated to children in need. So not only is it a great gift for your child, but it’s a good gift for 10 more children, as well.

Clothing –

Bastian always needs new clothes. Babies grow so dang fast, so getting him new clothes for Christmas is really just a great gift for me, too.

I about died when I saw this “cool baby” onesie from Wild Child Boutique. Basically since Bastian was born I’ve been quoting that line from Mean Girls, so I knew I needed it.

Rompers are my favorite item of clothing to dress Bastian in. He’s a tall, skinny baby, and so a lot of the rompers that I get him don’t really fit him that well. This romper is from Hux Baby, which makes some of the highest quality baby clothes I’ve gotten for Bastian. This romper fits him so well that I was honestly surprised when I put it on him for the first time.

Even though Bastian can’t walk yet, and therefore probably doesn’t need that many pairs of shoes, I’m such a sucker for cute new baby shoes. Leather moccasins from Starry Knight stay on his feet so well, and he has a hard time pulling them off to throw around. Such a win in my book, and so cute.

Kickee pants is another company that makes great rompers(this blanket is from them, too!), and they’re the softest clothes ever. When I’m getting Bastian dressed, he just likes to hold them and rub them against his face. This romper and blanket is part of a new line called Perth that won’t be out for a few more weeks, but they’ll be out in time for you to go Christmas shopping!

Even though Bastian is too little to fit into these rain boots, I ordered them as a Christmas present anyway. He’ll fit in them next year, and he’s too little to be disappointed that he can’t use them right away. So really, I guess I ordered these for me, haha. This adorable pair is from London Littles.

Over the Moon Kids Apparel has a lot of really great clothing options at super affordable prices. I ended up getting a little plaid romper with a peter pan collar from them for my niece as a Christmas present. They have so many great pieces that I could easily spend an entire paycheck there. Someone hold me back.

This may seem like a horrible present for babies, but bear with me. One of my favorite things, is getting cute sheets for his crib. Again, it’s really a present for me. But, we have a few fun pairs of sheets from Rookie Humans, and he absolutely LOVES playing on them and keeps trying to grab the characters faces.

I’ve been collecting Christmas presents for months, and I’m counting down the days until I can help Bastian unwrap all of his presents!

Keep an eye out for another Gift Guide later this week with gift ideas for husbands and friends!
