You and Me: 4 Months

I know that I say this every single month, but where is the time going? I know 4 months isn’t that long, or that old. But it feels like I’m blinking and suddenly my baby isn’t nearly as much of a baby anymore. He’s getting so big and  so responsive. The last few weeks have been rough, since we hit a sleep regression in the midst of teething. We’re working on sleep training to hopefully get everything back on track, but for now we’re surviving on caffeine. Lots of caffeine.

YOU:

-started Baby Led Weaning over the weekend. Not really eating the food, just playing with it more than anything else.

-loves avocado.

-still the wiggliest baby I’ve ever met. You’re going to be crawling before I know it.

-starting to coo and talk to us and it’s the cutest thing ever.

-thriving on the new schedule we put you on.

-got a new babysitter for when I go to work and you LOVE her.

-laughs for dad way more than you laugh for me.

-smiles all the time.

-figuring out how to use your hands and love to grab EVERYTHING. Especially my hair. 🙂

-are 25 inches long now! What in the world. Such a tall baby. Everyone always says you look so much older than you are because you’re so tall. By the time you’re 5 you’re gonna be taller than both of us.

ME:

-experiencing the absolute WORST postpartum hair loss(if anyone has any killer tips besides coconut oil and remembering to take prenatals, please tell me!)

-loving the nap schedule we’ve been using. I have so much more time to get things done, the whole house feels so much more peaceful and happy.

-seriously needs about a thousand naps to deal with this sleep regression, though.

-hitting a weight loss plateau, but I’m trying really hard not to let that discourage me.

-cancelled our trip to NYC next month because I felt like it was just a little bit too much, but hopefully we’ll still get another trip in before the end of the year.

-hate the part of being an adult that means I have to wash my dishes everyday. What’s that all about?

-in love with my little family.
