Current Favorite Products for Mom and Baby

I wrote a post shortly after Bastian was born about the products that I felt were most important for a first time or new mom, you can read all about it here. All of those products are still ones that I use almost daily, but there are definitely a few other products that we’ve acquired over the last two months that have been super helpful to us, and I thought there were worth mentioning here!

  1. Hatch Baby– I honestly didn’t realize how much we’d use this when we first got it. It doubles as a night light and a white noise machine, and I use it constantly. It’s perfect for when we go to bed because I can turn on the white noise(there are a handful of different sounds to choose from) and also choose the color of the light. This way, I can actually see when I get up to feed Bastian at night. I also use it during nap time everyday. Honestly, this is probably one of the products I use the very most.
  2. Moses Basket – We got this basket with the intention of using it for nap time, so he could nap in any room of the house. We ended up using it for him to sleep in every single night. We tried transitioning out of it last week and it wasn’t very successful because he loves it SO much. It keeps him really cozy and doesn’t give him too much room to wiggle, so he doesn’t wake himself up.
  3. Swaddle Blankets – At first, we just used these as regular blankets, which is absolutely a great use for them. We wouldn’t swaddle him at night because we didn’t want him to become dependent on being swaddled in order to fall asleep. We recently started swaddling him at night and the difference is incredible.
  4. MAM Pacifier – Every baby likes different pacifiers, but I guess I didn’t actually realize this until we had Bastian. We got him a few of those Soothie pacifiers, and then we got one of these as a gift. He’ll take one of the other ones for a few minutes in a pinch, but this one is by FAR his favorite.
  5. Bonnets – This was a trend that I was wary of before I had my baby. It’s absolutely adorable, but you usually only see girls in bonnets. We got his first bonnet when he was about a month old, and now I’m hooked. He has three now. It protects his head from the sun, and keeps the sun out of his eyes, without putting a warm hat on his head.
